DENTAL SCHOOL ADMISSIONS
PREREQUISITES
Check CODA for accredited dental schools and their prerequisites. Courses are generally include:
Two semesters (three quarters) of biology with lab,
Two semesters (three quarters) of general chemistry with lab,
Two semesters (three quarters) of organic chemistry with lab and
Two semesters (three quarters) of physics with lab.
Check desired school for other science/non-science required courses

APPLYING
Basic requirements for dental schools:
Official DAT Score uploaded
Passing all prerequisites
Up to 4 letters of recommendation (2 academic 2 dentists recommended)
Personal statement
50-100 hours Dental office shadowing experiences
Volunteering, research, extra curricular HIGHLY recommended
Admission requirements can vary from school to school. Apply for admission at least a year in advance of the planned enrollment date. Application to dental schools is available here.
