DENTAL SCHOOL ADMISSIONS
PREREQUISITES
Check CODA for accredited dental schools and their prerequisites. Courses are generally include:
- Two semesters (three quarters) of biology with lab, 
- Two semesters (three quarters) of general chemistry with lab, 
- Two semesters (three quarters) of organic chemistry with lab and 
- Two semesters (three quarters) of physics with lab. 
Check desired school for other science/non-science required courses

APPLYING
Basic requirements for dental schools:
- Official DAT Score uploaded 
- Passing all prerequisites 
- Up to 4 letters of recommendation (2 academic 2 dentists recommended) 
- Personal statement 
- 50-100 hours Dental office shadowing experiences 
- Volunteering, research, extra curricular HIGHLY recommended 
Admission requirements can vary from school to school. Apply for admission at least a year in advance of the planned enrollment date. Application to dental schools is available here.
